Bison (Buffalo) Hunts:
Mature Trophy Bulls may be up to 13 years of age and can weigh in excess of 2000 lbs. Most bulls are expected to make the SCI record book. Hunts take place from the middle of August to the end of January as that is when the hides and capes are in their prime making for the most impressive mounts. You can hunt with rifle, black powder or archery, we recommend the use of larger caliber rifles like 30-06, 7mm, 300 magnums or larger. However some experienced black powder and bow hunters have proven to be quite successful. It is best to bring your own hunting gear and ammunition, but if necessary, ammunition for most rifles and supplies can be purchased locally. These hunts are guided one-on-one, your guide will tailor the hunt to your individual needs. Hunts are normally by walk and stalk, although you can also use tree stands or an ATV if you wish to do so.
