Our exclusive ranch hunts offer exhilarating hunting for each and
every client we take out regardless of ability. The hunts we offer are
for 3 days. Hunts start the last week of August and carry on through to
December. The terrain is demanding but we have the ability to
accommodate the sportsman with limited physical abilities as well.
Rifle, archery, muzzle-loader hunts are all welcome, crossbows are also
allowed. For you bow hunters this is an excellent opportunity to hone
your skills. Please be advised that gun laws in Canada do not allow hand
gun hunting. Hunts are normally guided 1 x 1 with stalking, calling and
stand hunting. The size of our elk average 1000lbs, with some bulls
going up to 1200lbs. We have on ranch facilities and equipment to care
for your trophy and meats. We ensure excellent care of all harvested
animals. We encourage our guests to take as much of their meat home as
possible, some animals can yield over 500 lbs. of meat. It is best to
bring your own ammunition and hunting gear with you, but if necessary,
ammunition and supplies can be purchased locally.
Once you are settled in, and if you wish, our guide will assist you in
sighting in your rifle at our gun range. |

Your hunt days will begin before dawn with breakfast and fresh
coffee. Normally there is always more activity amongst the animals in
the early morning and then again towards dusk, since the animal movement
is high, these times are best spent on ATV or on foot looking for your
trophy. The afternoons can be spent by taking in some trout fishing on
the ranch or sight seeking, when in season we also offer duck and goose
hunting. The evenings can be spent playing a friendly game of billiards
or sipping on your favorite beverage while sitting beside the stone
fireplace.
Hunting Licenses:
At Watson Creek no provincial hunting license is required for elk or
whitetail deer hunting within our private harvest preserve. Watson Creek
Outfitters will purchase export papers from the Province of Saskatchewan
in order for you to export your trophy products back into the United
States.
