Elk and Whitetail
Once your trophy elk or deer has been harvested our guide will skin it and cape it out. A Provincial hunting seal is then attached to the horn, and then the cape and hide are labeled. The hide and cape will then be bagged and frozen and the skull cap cleaned of all tissue. If the hunter does not wish to or is unable to take the trophy on their immediate trip home we can arrange for shipping to their home address or to a taxidermist of their choosing at an additional expense. Taxidermy fees are not included in your hunt price.

Bison (Buffalo):
Once your trophy bison has been harvested our guide will skin it. Due to the size and weight of the raw bison trophy (head, cape, and hide could weigh in excess of 250 lbs) we recommend that you arrange for the taxidermy work be done by a taxidermist of your choice here in Saskatchewan. We can provide you with contact information if needed. If you wish to have your bison trophy mounted by a taxidermist at your home we can arrange for the head to be caped out at the lodge for an additional cost of $200. The cape and hide will then be bagged and frozen for your trip home. If the hunter does not wish to take the trophy on their immediate trip home we can arrange for shipping to their home address or to a taxidermist of their choosing at an additional expense. Taxidermy fees are not included in your hunt price.

Meat:
We ensure excellent care of all harvested animals. Some animals can yield over 500 lbs. of meat, should you wish to take some, or, all of the meat home we can assist you with arrangements for processing. We also have on site facilities to hang and chill your meat. Some hunters have utilized our facilities to de-bone the meat on their own, there by eliminating meat processing fees. This works well for hunters that have driven to the lodge and have the knowledge to prepare and take care of their meat. Some hunters who have flown up have taken smaller amounts of de-boned meat on their flight home in coolers. If you are flying and unable to take the meat home with you it will have to go to the meat processors facilities and then be shipped to your address by the processor. Taking frozen meat with you on your immediate trip home may or may not be an option as most meat processors in the area are busy at this time of year and logistically may not be able to have your meat prepared with in your short stay. The processing and shipping of the meat by the meat processor is not included in the hunt price. Please note that we do not have facilities to store your processed meat. If you do not wish to take any of the meat home, your guide or outfitter will ensure that it is utilized responsibly.
